This documentation details the new side panel available within the OKR for Jira Cloud app. With this new feature, you can do multiple actions while staying in the context of the main OKR Overview table:
Check OKR details, Progress, and Updates.
Provide new updates or comments on the old ones.
Create new OKR for selected Objectives.
Create new or link existing Jira issues to Key Results.
Accessing the side panel
Navigate to the OKR Overview page.
Select an objective or key result. This will display the side panel for that specific item.

Side panel view
You can resize the panel based on your preferences. Use the resize indicator on the left of the side panel to do so.

Side panel functionality
Expanded description: View the full description of the selected OKR. This description remains expanded even when switching between different objectives or key results.
Progress chart: A visual representation of the OKR's progress is displayed. This chart depicts progress over time between updates.
Updates section:
View historical updates and comments associated with the OKR.
End-users can add new updates directly from the Side Panel.
User actions
Edit OKR relations: You can add new key results and sub-objectives, clone the objective, and edit the OKR tree without leaving the side panel. Create new OKR for selected Objectives.
Provide updates: Add comments and updates directly within the side panel.
Editing OKR details is not available within the side panel. To edit these elements, navigate to the specific OKR Details page by clicking the three-dot icon and then Details.
Disabling the panel
The side panel is enabled by default. If desired, Jira admins can disable the side panel functionality by opening Overview settings > Side panel settings, and disabling the toggle for Enable side panel.
