Finding issues connected to OKRs with JQL in Jira

Need to find issues related to your OKRs for bulk updates or analysis? This guide shows you how to use JQL (Jira Query Language) to search for issues connected to either a specific Key Result or all KRs within an Objective.

  1. Navigate to the Jira advanced issue search by selecting the Filters option from the top menu and choosing View all issues.

  2. You will be redirected to a view displaying a list of your existing issues. Go to the top left-hand side, and click JQL.

  3. In the JQL input field, use the following queries to find issues connected to Key Results or Objectives:

    • To find issues connected to a specific Key Result (KR):
      kr="type in KR's name in the quotes"

    • To find all issues from all Key Results of a certain Objective:
      objective="type in objective's name in the quotes"

  4. Click the search button to initiate the search.
