[DC] Filter the OKR Overview
This page is about OKR for Jira Data Center. Using Cloud? Click here.
The OKR Overview gives you a high-level view of your Objectives and Key Results across teams, projects, or company goals. To help you focus on what matters most, you can filter the Overview by period or by specific column data, such as status, assignee, or progress.
Use filters to quickly narrow down your OKRs, track progress by time period, and zoom in on specific goals or contributors.
Period filter
Use the Period dropdown above the OKR list to display OKRs within a selected timeframe.
Only OKRs that belong to the selected period will appear.
If you use custom OKR timeframes (for example, non-quarterly), you can add a custom period when creating a new OKR. Once created, the custom period becomes available in the filter dropdown.
Column filters
Each column in the OKR Overview includes its own filter.
Hover under a column header and click the Filter icon.
Select the values you want to include. The applied filter appears below the column name.
You can combine multiple filters to narrow down the list to exactly what you're looking for.
Control how results are displayed
By default, the OKR Overview shows matching items along with their parent or child OKRs for full context.
For example, if you filter by status and select Off track, and only one Key Result matches, the view will include both that KR and its parent Objective.
To control what appears in the results:
Click Filtering options (top right).
Use the side panel to choose whether to:
Show or hide higher-level items (for example, parent Objectives)
Show or hide lower-level items (for example, child Key Results)
This gives you full control over how much context you want to see.
