Microsoft Edge | How to Allow Browser Notifications

1: Allow notifications in your browser

If you're seeing the crossed bell icon at the end of the URL, click it and select Allow for this site.

If not: click on the lock icon, locate the Notifications and select Allow in the dropdown. Refresh the page.

If pop-up does not appear

Go to Settings in Edge > Cookies & Site Permissions > Notifications.

  1. Enable the Ask before sending option and refresh this page.

  2. Add the URL chat-api.spartez-software.com to the "Allowed to send notifications" section manually.

Ensure the URL chat-api.spartez-software.com is NOT specified under the "Not allowed to send notifications" section.

If pop-up does not appear

Go to Settings in Edge > Cookies & Site Permissions > Notifications.

  1. Enable the Ask before sending option and refresh this page.

  2. Add the URL chat-api.spartez-software.com to the "Allowed to send notifications" section manually.

Ensure the URL chat-api.spartez-software.com is NOT specified under the "Not allowed to send notifications" section.

2: Turn on Notifications in Your Operation System

Mac OS

  1. System Settings > Notifications.

  2. On the Notifications screen, click on Microsoft Edge.

  3. Turn on the toggle for Allow Notifications.

Windows

  1. Select Start > Settings > System > Notifications.

  2. Turn on the toggle next to the Microsoft Edge.

3: Use notifications in Chat for JSM

Check desired notification options on Chat for JSM > Notifications.

If everything goes well, you'll get notifications like the one below:


If you have done all previous steps, but notifications are still not showing up, you may check the following workaround:

  1. Enter  edge://flags/#enable-system-notifications in the URL

  2. Disable a flag for system notifications.
