What is a card?
What is a board card?
A card is a placeholder, like a sticky note. One or more cards are added to a board container.
A card can be
just on the board
or dynamically linked to a Confluence page - a page-card
Add a card to a container
To add a card to a container, move the pointer over the top right of a container and choose the + (plus) symbol.
If the card name is the same as an existing page in the current space, the card is linked to the page. This is known as a page-card.
An option is provided to search other spaces for a page.
If no page with the card name is found, the card is added only as a card on the board.
Converting a card
A card can later be converted to a page-card, creating a linked page as a child page of the current page.
Choose the card
Select the Page button
Choose Convert to page
The card is linked to a newly created page with a page title the same as the card name.
The linked page is appended with the current container label(s).
Deleting a page-card on a board does not delete the linked page.
Moving cards between containers
Cards can be dragged and dropped between containers on the same board.
Cards moved to a new container are attributed with the new container's label(s), and a linked page is appended with the new container label(s).
The source container label(s) are removed.
