Target announcements to specific space category(s) in Confluence

Announcer Series for Confluence 3.2 now allows you to target your announcements to selected space category(s) in Confluence. In the advanced edit options of the Announcement editor window, you see a new Filter for specific space category(s) option. The respective announcement is displayed only to the users browsing the specified space category(s).

  • The announcement is displayed only once for a given user from the space category. This means when the user acknowledges the announcement in one space, logs out, logs back in and opens a different space from the same space category, the announcement is not displayed again. 
  • This filter is applicable to only Banner, Flag or Dialog notification type.

Configure and target announcements in Confluence read-only mode

Administrators can now configure and target announcements to required users even while in Confluence read-only mode. This means all the options in Announcer Configuration and Announcer Global Configuration pages are available for the administrator to set an Announcement while in read-only mode.
