When you issue the Agile Cards printing command in Jira, you will be taken to the Agile Cards Print and Template configuration Screens.
Not sure what that means? Follow this link to read about all the places you can print work items from.
Before you actually send the cards to your printer, it may be important to configure the individual cards' look and feel.

Only Jira Admins and Project Admins can add, remove and edit Agile Cards' templates.
Regular users are only allowed to print cards using existing print templates.

Agile Cards is highly flexible and configurable. You can define many aspects of cards' configuration and store the settings in templates for later use.
The template configuration flows are embedded within the printout flows so that the fine tuning of the cards can be performed without any additional hassle.
You can define many templates with different card layouts, fields, colors, etc. There are also some example templates ready for you to start with or to clone and modify.

Below is a visual reference of the options shown within the sidebar in Agile Cards - valid since v4.3.0

Overview of sidebar options

In the templates sidebar, you can use the native search to quickly find templates by name.
Search uses contain logic and results are displayed instantly.

The Project Templates section will display any project-specific templates which have been associated with the issues you have selected to print and/or save to PDF.

If there are no project templates shown, then it means that you have yet to assign any specific template(s) with the project(s) in which the selected issues are sourced from.
In such case, unsorted templates are listed under the 'Other templates' submenu located below Project Templates.

Instructions on assigning projects to templates under 'Assigned Projects' found in 'Template Settings' section.

Selecting the template is a pre-requisite of the actual print. To see how you can change the templates and print issues with a selected template, please see the following detailed chapters below:
