How to solve synchronization conflicts

If you're using the same component across many projects you may see some of these synchronization conflicts appear.

It usually happens when you change the same attribute of the component in more projects in between synchronization.

Attributes are name, description, component lead, and default assignee

Synchronization conflicts

  1. Click the exclamation mark next to the Create Component button to see what the conflict is.

  1. See what component has conflicts and on which attributes.

  1. Open the component detail in Octo and update the field that caused the conflict.

  1. Now you can run synchronization again or wait until it runs automatically (every 4 hours).

 

You can find out what the changes which caused conflict were by finding the component in the Jira project components screen.
