How to share components across the projects

Cross-project components are components that are available in multiple selected projects. All changes done to components in Octo or Jira are synchronized.

Create cross-project components

There are three ways how to create a cross-project component.

Create a new component from scratch

• In Octo, you can create components assigned to multiple projects by selecting multiple projects in the Projects field.

Add project to an existing component in Octo

• If you already have a component and you want to add a new project where the component can be used, then you can do that from the edit component view in Octo.

Merge existing components together

• If you want to link two existing components together, use the merge components functionality.
