Custom Fields Overview

This page is about Time to SLA for Jira On-Prem. Using Jira Cloud? Click the Cloud button above.

Jira allows you to create custom fields that can be used in any of your Jira projects, and you can make use of this feature to track SLAs more effectively.

Time to SLA provides you with pre-built custom fields that make it much easier to keep track of your SLAs. While TTS creates some of these custom fields upon installation (for example, SLA Panel, Time to SLA, and Overdue custom fields), others need to be created manually (i.e., the SLA Indicator, SLA Overview, SLA Dates).

Let’s take a look at what the SLA Fields page offers you first.

  2. Cog icon – Click to configure the settings of the custom field from the dropdown menu.

  3. Configure – Click to define the SLAs for the chosen custom field.

  4. Edit – Click to edit the details of the custom field. You can edit the Field Name and the Description, as seen below:

  5. Display Options – You can configure the display options of the TTS - Time to SLA custom field. This screen appears only for this type of custom field. These options include:

  7. Screens – Select the screens that you want to display the custom field on here.

  8. Delete – Click to delete the custom field. This process is irreversible.
