Time to SLA custom field
This page is about Time to SLA for Jira On-Prem.
The Time to SLA custom field helps you track SLAs by displaying a countdown to the remaining duration or overdue time if an SLA is breached. It uses colors and icons to show the status of an SLA.
To learn how to create the custom field and add it to the necessary screens, follow this guide.
Colors and icons
Take a look at the table below to grasp the meaning of each color you may see on the custom field:

The Time to SLA Custom Field shows separate fields per SLA if an issue meets more than one SLA.
How to configure Time to SLA custom field display options
Go to SLA Fields.
Click the cog icon in the row of a custom field in order to change its display options.
Click Display Options from the dropdown menu. The Display Options screen appears.
Select Time Format to display. In the preview below the Time format section, you can see the Sample Time String as you select.
Long format: Displays the duration with day/hour/minute/second units and full localized unit labels.
Short format: Displays the duration with day/hour/minute/second units and abbreviated unit labels.
Shorter format: Displays the duration with hour/minute/second units and abbreviated unit labels.
Tick Display SLAs of Linked Issues if you want to view SLAs of linked issues within one another.
Select when to display SLA names in the custom field.
Tick Show Completed SLAs if you want to see completed SLAs in the custom field.
Click Save.
How to use Time to SLA custom field in Groovy Script
