Global Configuration

This document outlines the configuration options available for the Toggl integration within Jira. To access the configuration page, navigate to Apps > Manage Apps and select Toggl Integration for Jira from the list. Click Configure to proceed.

Configuration Options

The configuration page offers several options to customize how the Toggl Integration interacts with your Jira workflow:

Open

• Billable by default – This option determines whether newly created time entries in Toggl are marked as billable by default. Enable this if most of your Jira issues are billable by nature.

• Apply Jira labels by default – Toggl can refill the tags input in the sidebar view with labels from Jira issue, which you are starting the timer for.

• Assign Toggl Tag based on the Jira Issue Type – This option enables assigning Toggl tags based on the corresponding Jira Issue Type.

• Assign Toggl Tag based on the Jira Epic Name – Similarly, Toggl tags can be assigned based on the associated Jira Epic Name.

• Round time before saving to Jira (00:01:30-00:01:59 becomes 00:02:00 in Jira) – This feature allows rounding up time entries to the nearest minute before syncing them as work logs to Jira.

• Specify Jira time zone – In cases where your Jira instance operates in a different time zone than Toggl, you can specify the Jira time zone here to ensure accurate timekeeping. Use it only if a time zone discrepancy exists between Jira and Toggl.
