Fields - Cloud Native

Fields overview

Select which fields should be synchronized between Jira and Azure DevOps. Some fields also have a data value that can be assigned to them. These values can also be mapped in this configuration section.

Mapping only works for fields available on the Create page in Jira.

Configure Fields

  1. Click Reload Jira and Azure data to ensure any fields recently added to Jira or Azure are included in the In Jira and In Azure lists.

  2. Click the Select field option under the In Jira option and select a field from the list. Each field also displays the data type (for example, string, array, or user).

  3. Click the Select field option under the In Azure option and select a field from the list. Each field also displays the data type (for example, string, array, or user).

  4. Click Add mapping. Mapped item types are displayed in the Mapped fields list.

To change a mapped field, locate the field in the Mapped fields list, click on the Jira or Azure item, and select another field from the dropdown list.

To remove a mapped field, locate the field in the Mapped fields list and click the Remove mapping icon.

When a field with value mappings appears in the Mapped field list, the listing also indicates if it uses automated values mapping or the number of values mapped to the field.

You can also apply value mapping to a field. Refer to Fields Data Value Mapping to learn more.
