PCJ:How to import data from an older version of Jira

Since version 2.4.7 of Project Configurator, we introduced the ability to allow data to be migrated into a new version of Jira than the version of Jira that the data was exported from.

Step-by-step Guide

In order to import data from an older version, you need to ensure that you check the Allow data import from different Jira versions checkbox on the import screen as described in the Import of a Complete Project page.


Please note that we can not guarantee how data will import when using different versions of Jira, Jira Software and Jira Service Desk. We advise upgrading both the source and target instances to be the same version in order to guarantee that the data will migrate cleanly.
