How to use
Example scripts can be used in one of 3 different ways:
Directly via url: https://bitbucket.org/bob_swift/examples/raw/tip/confluence/beanshell/userByGroup.bsh
Download to the script folder in your Confluence home directory and use script=#userByGroup.bsh
Copy the script into the macro body
Use caching
Recommend using the Cache Macro to improve performance of these types of scripts.

These examples are a bit old and need dusting off. Confluence 4.x introduced some restrictions (related to classpath setting) that require modifications. Give me a bit to see how best to deal with this.
Well, it is a more involved in this case because of Confluence API changes in the user area. It needs to be refactored completely. I will need to go through all the other examples as well. It probably needs some additional helper variables to make it easier to deal with.
This is now updated, but will require using latest release - see Release notes 4.3

Agree, it is really old. Removed.
I get an error when I try to use this script:
Attempt to resolve method: getGroups() on undefined variable or class name: GroupUtils : at Line: 23 : GroupUtils .getGroups ( )
This is with Confluence 5.1.2 using Crowd ... or is that not supported?
