Overview

Run a shortcut to kick off the Jira issue creation process from anywhere within Slack.

  • Users need to connect their Slack and Jira accounts to get started.

  • The project and issue type will be defaulted based on the user's preferences.

 

 

Creating a Jira issue with the run shortcut button

  1. Click image-20240426-140854.png in Slack.

  2. Type Create to find the Integration+ global action.

  3. Choose the Create Jira issue action.

  4. Complete the form to create your Jira issue.

We will default the project and issue type based on your user preferences or ask you which project and type.
