Calendars
This page is about JEP Cloud. Using Jira On-Prem? Click the On-Prem button above.
The Enhancer Plugin offers advanced customization options for calendars in Jira. With this plugin, you can enhance your calendars by adding multiple time frames for each day, setting recurrent or one-off holidays, and even defining half days. All calculations and reports to be performed using JEP will be based on the designated calendar(s).
To add a new calendar or customize an existing one, simply go to Apps > Enhancer Plugin for Jira > Calendars.
To create a new calendar, click Add New Calendar.
Name your calendar and select a Time Zone.
Add your Working Days and Working Hours. You can choose from the pre-set hours, and you can modify them as needed by checking or unchecking the related boxes below each day.
You can add Break Times as well. To do this, go to the column of the day you want to add a break and, if necessary, add other additional breaks. Check out the example below:
Scroll down to the Holidays section to add holidays. You can add the holiday as a full day or pick your own custom hours.
If you tick the Shared Holiday box, the holiday you’re adding will appear on all calendars, and any changes made here will be reflected in all of them. For example, if you’re adding Bastille Day for a team located in France, you wouldn’t tick this box. For New Year’s Day, you most probably would.
Tick the Recurring box if you want the holiday to repeat within a certain time frame (monthly or yearly). Here is an example:
Click Add holiday. Once you’ve added your holidays, the holidays that apply to the calendar will be displayed like this:
You can also use this screen to easily Delete the holidays and change whether a holiday is a Shared Holiday and/or Recurring.
Define the Length of Business Day. Keep in mind that this is an Advanced Setting that you don’t need to use most of the time.
Click Save.
Migrating to a New Calendar System?
If you are transitioning to a new calendar system, the Enhancer Plugin will automatically migrate all previously used JEP calendars to the new system. The migrated calendars will have a "(Migrated)" prefix in their names, which you can easily change according to your requirements.
