getFieldInfo

Get information for one or more issue fields including field metadata and value information. Identify a standard or custom field by name, id, or custom field id. An issue parameter is required to show value information. If you just need the field value, use getFieldValue instead. The reference parameter can be used to capture the first field's value in a replacement variable.
