Administrator access permissions
Overview
This article explains how to provide administrator access to HelpDesk+ for Slack.
Administrators are globally defined per bot.
Users can request access to join the administrator list.
Prerequisites
You must have administrator access to Jira.
Step-by-step guide
Configure administrators
Go to https://account.nextup.ai (or your custom URL if self-hosted).
Go to Security under Workspace.
Enable the Restrict Account Access toggle.
Select the users who can manage channel configurations. Don't forget to add yourself (if applicable).
Save settings.
Request administrator access
Instruct the user to log in to their account at https://account.nextup.ai and request access.
The access request is confirmed.
Approve access requests in Slack
You will receive a notification in Slack when access is requested.
Click Allow to allow access. A notification is sent to the requester in Slack.
New users added using this process will be visible in the administration list for administrators.
