Notifications

By default, Comala Document Control sends notifications for several types of workflow event.

A user requires at least Pages—Add permission in the space; otherwise, they do not receive notifications when they are assigned to a task, approved, or as a reader for a read confirmation.

Workbox notifications

Confluence workbox notifications are sent when

Reviewers are assigned to reviews
A state reaches its due date

In the user profile, the

Document Actions tab displays current outstanding document actions for the user
Read Assignments tab displays pending and overdue assigned read confirmations for the user

Email notifications

Email notifications are sent when

Assigning reviewers to an approval (if a user assigns themself as a reviewer to an approval, the email notification will not be sent)
A state reaches its due date
A read confirmation event occurs

These email notifications can be deactivated by a global administrator in the app global administration and configuration or set for each space by a space administrator in the app space tools.

In addition, page watchers automatically receive and email notification on a change of workflow state.
