Migrating from Jira Server to Cloud

If you are moving from Jira Server or Data Center to Jira Cloud, you’re more than likely wondering if the Configuration Manager for Server and Cloud apps are compatible and how the move will impact you. The good news is that there is no need for migration.

Moving to Configuration Manager for Jira Cloud

If you are wondering about moving to Jira Cloud, the most important question is probably if you need to migrate any app configuration or data so that the whole process is seamless for your teams and users.

All you need to do to migrate from Configuration Manager Server/Data Center to the Cloud is to install the Cloud app on the Jira Cloud site. There is no need to migrate any app data. Afterward, you can start moving projects and other related configurations between the Jira Cloud sites. Likewise, if you’re migrating from Jira Cloud to Jira Data Center, you won’t need to migrate any app configurations or data.
