Snapshot document metadata

Overview

Using the collection global viewer, you can view the metadata information for each snapshot in a collection.

Displaying the metadata for a snapshot

Choose Collections in the Confluence header menu to open the collections global viewer

In the My Collections side menu

Choose a collection

Choose a snapshot document in the collection

The snapshot document

  • is displayed in HTML format in the right panel

  • metadata is displayed at the bottom of the My Collections side bar

Any listed collection names that are greyed-out are collections for which the current user does not have collection view permission. Collection permissions to view and contribute are set by the collection manager (the creator of the collection).

Snapshot Metadata

The snapshot metadata allows users to view lifecycle information for a snapshot document.

The following metadata is displayed for a snapshot added to a chosen collection

  • the snapshot document title

  • the snapshot version

  • the Confluence source page version

  • the snapshot document contributor

  • the date the current snapshot document was created

  • the source Confluence page

  • the source Confluence space key

You can also open the collection global viewer using the View option in the snapshot publishing popup on the source Confluence page. Using this option displays the snapshot document created for the page.

Viewing snapshot document versions

In the currently viewed collection, the snapshot document versions can be accessed using the dropdown menu on the collection viewer snapshot document PDF or HTML view.

The metadata can be viewed by accessing the snapshot document in any collection the snapshot has been added using the My Collections side bar menu (if the user has been been added as a viewer or contributor for the collection).
