How to schedule reports

Overview

You can ask the bot to send a list of issues based on your selected criteria to a channel at a defined interval (such as daily at a specific time). This tool is great for project managers or scrum masters overseeing a team's work.

Prerequisites

  • You need to invite the bot to your channel to use this feature.

  • New users will be asked to connect their Slack and Jira accounts to view issue details.

Configuring scheduled reports

  1. Run a search for the desired issues by typing my tickets or using a JQL search like jira search project = DEV and priority = Highest and resolution is empty.

  2. Click Schedule to expand scheduling options.

  3. Create your report by:

    • Naming your report.

    • Adding an optional description (this can be used to @mention users or groups)

    • Setting as enabled/disabled.

    • Setting the time of day, your report is generated.

    • Setting which days your report will be generated.

    • Confirming the command used and the channel where your report will be posted.

  4. Optionally, choose which issue fields you want to display when the report is sent.
