🤔 Context: A manager needs to track how much time issues spend in specific workflow stages to identify delays and improve team throughput.

🌧️ User Problem: I need to understand where the bottlenecks are in our workflow. We’re not completing requests quickly enough, and I don’t have a straightforward way to measure how much time issues are spending in critical statuses like "In Progress."

Solution: Creating a “Time in STATUS “ SLA.

While Time to SLA isn’t primarily used for time tracking, Kanban teams can leverage it to monitor how long tasks remain in specific statuses. By creating an SLA, like "Time in 'In Progress'", and selecting the "No target" goal type, you can track this time across your workflow. This use case lets you see how much time tasks spend under any assignee and in any status.

For more advanced time tracking, teams can also rely on the Enhancer Plugin for Jira for deeper insights.
