The Manage Migrations page lists essential information for each migration. This page allows you to view the status and details of your past and ongoing migrations at a glance. In addition to that, you can return to a previously incomplete migration to review details or complete it. For failed and successful deployments, you can go back to their result page to review the outcome in more detail.

Migration states

Each migration you create can be in one of the following states:

  • Status
    colourPurple
    titleCREated
    The migration is created. You can use the View action to resume and complete the migration.

  • Status
    colourBlue
    titleAnalysis
    The migration is being analyzed. You can use the View action to check the analysis progress and details.

  • Status
    colourRed
    titlefailed
    The migration failed. You can open a support request and send us a support zip, which will help helps us identify the problem.

  • Status
    colourGreen
    titleCompleted
    The migration is completed. You can use Use the View button action to see the summary of the migrated projects, issues, and configuration changes.

Viewing migrations when connectivity is lost

When a connection to the Jira Cloud site can’t be established for some reason, you won’t be able to return to or open an existing migration.

In case:

  • you don’t have a cloud connection to the Jira site in Cloud Migration Tool’s UI,

  • your cloud credentials become obsolete, or

  • the cloud connection used for an existing migration isn’t working for some reason,

Review or return to a migration

  1. Log in as a user with the Jira System Administrators global permission.

  2. Choose the cog icon at Navigate to the top right of the screen , then choose and choose Jira Settings > Configuration Manager. Click

  3. In the Manage migrations sectionof the Move to Jira Cloud and page, review the list with migrations in the Manage of migrations section.

  4. Choose a migration in any state and click View in the Actions section.

  5. For the

    Status
    colourPurple
    titlecreated
    state and click the View button in the Actions section.

  6. You will return to the phase reached during that particular migration.

  7. In case you don’t have a connection to the Jira Cloud site in the migration, use the Connect action in the error message in the Actions columnof the Manage migrations section (see the screenshot below). This way, you’ll be able to create a connection to the Jira site with your credentials and review the migration.Image Removed

    migrations, you see an error page that suggests opening a support ticket with the migration ID and support zip file.

Download a support zip

You can download and send us a support zip to help us investigate the cause for of a failed migration.

  1. Log in as a user with the Jira System Administrators global permission.

  2. Choose the cog icon at Navigate to the top right of the screen , then choose and choose Jira Settings > Configuration Manager. Select Move to Jira Cloud from

  3. From the left-side menu, select Move to Jira Cloud and review the list with of migrations. Choose a failed migration and click the click Support zip button zip in the Actions section. Contact us and attach the downloaded support zip file to our Support Portal.

View migrations when connectivity is lost

When a connection to the Jira Cloud site can’t be established for some reason, you won’t be able to return to or open an existing migration.

You need to connect or reconnect to the Jira site with valid credentials when:

  • you don’t have a cloud connection to the Jira site in Cloud Migration Tool’s UI,

  • your cloud credentials become obsolete, or

  • the cloud connection used for an existing migration isn’t working for some reason.

If you don’t have a connection to the Jira Cloud site in the migration, use the Connect action in the error message in the Actionscolumnof theManage migrationssection (see the screenshot below).
