This article explains how to resolve the reporter field error while creating a when using the sub-task post function in the app, Create on Transition on for Cloud instanceapp. 

Instructions

1. Log in as a Jira Administrator and clickImage Modified> Projects.
2. Select the required project and click Project Settings.
3. Select the required workflow and click Edit to view the transitions associated with the workflow.
4. Select a transition and click Post-Function from the box on the right.
5. Click Add post function, select Create Sub-task from the list and click Add.
6. Below is the Create sub-task post function configuration:
   
   
7. Publish the workflow before performing the transition. 
8. In order to test, create a sample ticket. For example, with issue type as "Improvement" and perform the transition to In Review status.
9. Check the transition logs by navigatingImage Modified> System > Transition Logs.

10. To resolve the Remote error, edit the respective project permissions and modify the reporter permissions by adding to associating the Modify Reporter permission to a Group as shown below:.

11. Create an Improvement request and change the transition to IN REVIEW status as per the configured post-function.
12.  Sub-task gets created with Issue links as relates to as shown below:

13. Output in the transition log, after the transition is:

If you are installing the app Create on Transition for the first time, the above error is observed and can be resolved by adding required permissions to the Group.
