How to resolve the error, "Remote error: reporter: Field 'reporter' cannot be set in the app Create on Transition"

This article explains how to resolve the reporter field error while creating a sub-task in the app, Create on Transition on Cloud instance.

Instructions

Ensure you have the app, Create on Transition, installed before performing the below steps.
Log in as a Jira Administrator and click> Projects.
Select the required project and click Project Settings.
Select the required workflow and click Edit to view the transitions associated with the workflow.
Select a transition and click Post-Function from the box on the right.
Click Add post function, select Create Sub-task from the list and click Add.
Below is the Create sub-task post function configuration:
Publish the workflow before performing the transition.
In order to test, create a sample ticket with issue type as "Improvement" and perform the transition to In Review status.
Check the transition logs by navigating> System > Transition Logs.
To resolve the Remote error, modify the reporter permissions by adding to a Group as shown:
Create an Improvement request and change the transition to IN REVIEW status as per the configured post-function.
Sub-task gets created with Issue links as relates to as shown below:

If you are installing the app Create on Transition for the first time, the above error is observed and can be resolved by adding required permissions to the Group.
