Users overview

Manually map user accounts between Jira and Azure as the default matching method for user fields. The same user may not be available on both platforms, so it may be required to pair a user on Jira with a different user on Azure.

Users mapping is not required if you don’t intend to sync any user fields.

  1. Click Mapping for Sync Profile # to open the Mapping for Synch Profile page.

  2. Click In Jira and select a user from the To be mapped list. Click in the Azure field and find a user, or enter a user name and select it when it appears. Click Add mapping to add to the Mapped users list.

  3. Click Save settings and click the Close icon X in the top left corner to return to the main Users page.

Default values

Set how TFS4JIRA responds during synchronization when it encounters an unmapped item.

  • Skip - When TFS4JIRA encounters an unmapped user, it skips over it and continues to the next item.

  • Raise Error - When TFS4JIRA encounters an unmapped user, it is recognized as an error. You can review the error in the sync log.

  • Set User - When TFS4JIRA encounters an unmapped user, it maps the item to a specific user.

  1. Click the Jira field and select Skip, Raise Error, or Set Item from the list of options. If you select Set User, click the field below and select a user name, or type to search for a user and select it when it appears.

  2. Click the Azure field and select Skip, Raise Error, or Set Item from the list of options. If you select Set User, click the field below and select a user name, or type to search for a user and select it when it appears.

  3. Click Save and continue to move to the /wiki/spaces/DEVM/pages/565706839 page.
