Overview
The Workflow Authoring Guide for Comala Document Management for Cloud is aimed at workflow authors – users who create custom workflow templates based on the needs of your business documentation process.
Workflows can only be created and edited in the space settings document management dashboard. A workflow editor needs space administrator permission in a space to use the workflow visual editor and code editor.
On installation, the app includes several existing workflows
- Add a Comala Document Management workflow to an individual page (page workflow)
- Add a Comala Document Management workflow to all documents in a space (space workflow)
- Basic Approval Workflow
These are available in the space settings document management dashboard in each space.
Custom workflows can be created based on your business needs. A custom workflow is created in a space by either
copying and customizing one of the workflows bundled with the app
creating a new custom workflow
The workflow builder visual editor or code editor in the space document management dashboard is used to
create a new workflow
edit an existing workflow
import a workflow template as JSON code
Custom workflows are stored in the space document management dashboard.
The bundled workflows cannot be overwritten. A copy can be created and customized.
