How to hide and show columns

The SQL Query macro editor gives the option to hide or show certain columns. This article explains the steps to learn how to hide or show the required columns.

Instructions

  1. In the relevant Confluence page, add or update the required SQL Query macro.
  2. Specify the required Data source profile, enter the SQL query in SQL statement, and click Run to view the retrieved data if the macro editor is opened for the first time, or proceed to the next step.
  3. Click the down arrow above the column to be hidden and click the Hide column menu option.

The selected columns are hidden and a small solid black dot (•) is shown above the column name before the now hidden column.

  4. Click the black dot (•) and select Show column to make the hidden column visible again.
  5. Publish the page. Note that only visible columns are shown and the black dots (•) are not displayed once the page is published.
