Workload and holiday plans

Multi-select when assigning resources to workload plans

You can now assign many resources to workload plans at once.

To assign multiple individuals to a workload plan:

1. Click Assign individuals on the Administration > Resources > Workload plans page.

2. Select the workload plan from the list.

3. Define the Efficiency and Start date fields. The end date will be adjusted automatically.

4. Select individuals from the list or use the search box to find them faster. The Select all and Deselect All options are useful when assigning multiple individuals.

5. When ready, click Assign.

Multi-select when assigning resources to holiday plans

You can now assign many resources to holiday plans at once.

To assign multiple individuals to a holiday plan:

1. Click Assign individuals on the Administration > Resources > Holiday plans page.

2. Select the holiday plan from the list.

3. Define the start date. The end date will be adjusted automatically based on the start date of the previous plan.

4. Select individuals from the list or use the search box to find them faster. The Select all and Deselect All options are useful when assigning multiple individuals.

5. When ready, click Assign.

Column view

Mirror columns

BigPicture supports mirror columns that were added to monday.com boards. BigPicture displays mirror columns of supported types in the read-only mode. You can't edit values or aggregate mirror columns. Mirror columns can’t be used for column mapping.

The Refresh data button is available only for mirror columns. You can use it to make sure all displayed information is up to date.

If you don’t have access to a board from where the mirror column comes, the Unavailable column header is displayed:

Restricted columns

BigPicture respects restricted column settings from the monday.com boards.

If the Restrict column editing option is set for a monday.com column, users who can’t edit such a column in monday.com will also be unable to edit it in BigPicture (the column is visible in BigPicture but can’t be edited).

If the Restrict column view option is set for a monday.com column, users who can’t see such a column in monday.com will also be unable to see it in BigPicture. The column header displays Unavailable.

Column mapping reminders

BigPicture prompts you to check the column mapping:

• When you add or remove boards using the Manage scope definition option in the Gantt module.

• When you inline edit built-in fields that don’t have the column mapping specified.

Support for the Dropdown column type

The Dropdown column type from monday.com can be displayed and edited in BigPicture.

Enhancements

Individual capacity in portfolio boxes

Individual capacity in none scope boxes such as the root (Home) and portfolio boxes presents:

• The user’s calendar capacity if the user is not assigned to any team.

• The user’s calendar capacity if the sum of the user’s team capacities is greater than the user’s calendar capacity.

• The sum of the user’s team capacities if the sum of the user’s team capacities is less or equal to the user’s calendar capacity.

Workload cell coloring is calculated based on the capacity selected above.

Example: Collin is assigned to 2 different teams simultaneously. His team capacity is 40 hours per week because his work limit is 40 hours (calendar capacity).

Performance

Faster box synchronization

The synchronization process after the BigPicture for monday.com upgrade has been optimized to resynchronize only recently updated tasks instead of the entire box scope. This optimization allows the module to be ready for use more quickly, reducing the time users spend in read-only mode during synchronization.
