Mentioning the bot name for guided assistance

If you are new to Connector for Workplace & Jira and searching for how to use the app, mention the bot name to receive suggestions on the shortcodes available and assistance in executing the shortcodes.


Launching the guided assistance

  1. Mention the bot name, for example, "@bot-name" in your Workplace chat.


  2. The bot will reply with an assistance menu.


  3. You have three options to choose from:

    1. Update Status - Provides assistance on what status to transition to. Refer to Updating Jira issue's status field for more information. 


    2. Comment - Provides assistance on how to format your comment. Refer to Sending comments to Jira Issues for more information. 


    3. Exit - Closes the assistance menu.
