How to create a calendar
Log in to your Jira Cloud account.
In the header menu, select Time to SLA > Calendars.
Click Add New Calendar.
Configure your calendar:
Name your calendar.
Select a Time Zone.
Configure your business hours:
Add your Working Days and Working Hours. To add break times, split your work day into different parts and enter your entries accordingly.
OPTIONAL ADVANCED Define the Length of Business Day.
By default, Time to SLA calculates the length of a business day from your calendar and uses this information to format SLA durations such as remaining time and overdue. However, if you want the dedicated work time to differ from your actual working hours, you can define a custom duration. The new duration will be equivalent to 1 day.
Add your holidays:
Scroll down to the Holidays section to add holidays. If the holiday you’re adding is only applicable to the calendar you’re adding it to, add it from the Holidays section. This way, it will only be used within this calendar. On the specified holidays, SLAs will stop counting.
Example: For a team located in France, you could add Bastille Day, as this holiday is not celebrated in any other country.
Add Shared Holidays if you want the holiday you’re adding to appear on all calendars. Any changes you make here will have an impact on all of your calendars.
Click Save.
