How to create a GitLab profile
Description
This article illustrates the process of adding a GitLab profile for use with the CSV Table and JSON Table macros.
Before you begin:
To add a profile, you need the following:
- Personal access token for GitLab profile
- GitLab API URL
- Verify that the GitHub URL conforms to the Confluence Whitelist; provided, whitelisting is enabled in Configuration settings
Steps
Navigate to CONFLUENCE ADMINISTRATION > Settings > Manage apps > Advanced Tables > Profiles.
Click Add Profile.
Enter a unique profile name in the Profile name text box.
Ensure that you provide a unique profile name. If you enter a profile name that already exists, the existing profile gets replaced with the given information.
- Select GitLab from the options in Profile type. Note that the Request headers parameter is auto-filled.
Enter the API URL for GitLab in the URL text box. For example, https://gitlab.com/api/v4/projects.

- Enter the relevant user name and password in User and Password respectively.
- Enter the Personal access token for your GitLab profile in the Access token text box.
- Click Save profile to create the profile.
