Global Configuration includes a new parameter, Maximum attachments to process for the Attachment Table macro
Global Configuration includes a new configuration parameter named Maximum attachments to process.
Administrators can control the maximum number of attachments to process in Global Configuration for the Attachment Table macro.
Setting the limit enables administrators to reduce the load and avoid Confluence performance issues. For more information, refer to Configuration 8.x.
Maximum attachments to process:
Administrators can select the maximum number of attachments to process for the Attachment Table macro. By default, the limit is 1000.
The configuration also displays the approximate number of attachments available in the Confluence instance.
Enhancements of Attachment Table macro editor
The Attachment Table macro editor displays the information regarding the admin-configured limit and the approximate number of attachments in the instance for users.
Page filtering: The macro editor displays the admin-configured value for the Global Configuration parameter Maximum attachments to process and the approximate number of attachments in the instance.
Data settings: Users can set the value for the macro parameter, Limit number of attachments to retrieve for the total number of attachments to process. The field description displays the admin-configured value in the Global Configuration. For more information, refer to Attachment Table macro 8.x.
The macro considers the least value between the macro parameter, Limit number of attachments to retrieve, and the Global Configuration parameter Maximum attachments to process. For more information, refer to How to set the maximum number of attachments to process for the Attachment Table macro?
The Attachment Table macro stops processing after the number of attachments found matching the Page filtering selection criteria reaches the least of the value configured. The macro displays the processed attachments and their metadata as a table.
If the macro encounters equal or more attachments than the least value configured, the confluence page displays a warning message, or else the message is not displayed.
