This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to investigate the usage of the Rich Filters app in Jira, including accessing usage data, identifying when filters were last used, and understanding migration processes from server/data center to cloud.

Accessing Rich Filters

  1. Navigate to Rich Filters:

    • Go to your Jira dashboard.

    • Click on the Apps menu located in the Jira navigation bar.

    • Select Rich Filters from the dropdown menu to access the rich filters list page.

Understanding Rich Filters Usage

  1. View Usage Information:

    • On the rich filters list page, locate the column titled Last Used.

    • This column shows the last usage date of each rich filter. Refer to the below image for a visual guide on what to expect.

  2. Identify Filter Details:

    • Check the administrators of each rich filter as well as the JQL filter and sharing settings of the base Jira filter.

    • This information can help you determine the users and projects associated with each filter.

Managing Trashed Rich Filters

  1. Access Trashed Filters:

    • Click on the … menu at the top right of the rich filters list page.

    • Select the option to view trashed rich filters.
