Field ... cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown fix

This article will guide you on how to deal with this kind of error that you might get when using Planning Poker estimation “Field 'customfield_10016' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown.“

  1. To fix it go to affected issue that you wanted to estimate.

  2. on right side choose “Find field”

  3. then find missing field and follow instructions to add it to the screen. In my case it was Story point estimate.

     

  1. Go to Issues in settings

  2. Click Custom fields

  3. Find your field by name

  4. Click Associate to Screens

  5. Add it to proper screen, in my case it was Default Screen.

  6. After that issue should be fixed.
