How to use "News Image Label"

On News Teaser for Confluence app, there’s a field named "News Image Label", which requires having image labels. Let’s address the steps on how to use this feature fully.

Instructions to add an image label:

  1. Go to the page where the images are attached. In the top right corner is a three dots button.

  2. Click on the three dots button, then click Attachments,

  3. You’ll be redirected to a page with a list of images. In there, you can add and edit labels!

  4. When your images are labeled, you can use the "News Image Label" field to select the images. Those labels will be used on News Cards Configuration > News Image Label, and that way, select which image appears on your News Cards.

When no image label is entered on the "News Image Label" field, the macro selects the first image of the page by name in alphabetic order.

If you want to have some control - on what image appears on the news card - without using labels, name the images in a way that the one you want to appear on the news card has a name starting with “AA”.

You can use add more than one label to the “News Image Label” field. Be careful if you use a label on the "News Image Label" field and no image owns that label; in such case, NO image will be displayed.
