Proceed with Cloud migration (Scaffolding)

Overview

The steps on this page guide you to perform Confluence migration using CCMA.

Prerequisites

  • Review: Plan Out Your Migration.

  • Understand that there are Scaffolding structures that cannot yet be migrated.

  • Have prepared the Confluence site for this migration.

Prepare your Confluence Server and Confluence Cloud for migration

  • Get maintenance scheduled for your Confluence Server.

  • Have a Confluence Cloud instance ready.

If you haven’t already done so, sign up for your cloud site. Then, decide whether you want to conduct your test on a trial site or a production site.

1. Prepare the Migration tool

DO NOT skip this step! Doing so will only migrate your Scaffolding Structure and Live Template macros, but not the Scaffolding data.

  1. Navigate to the Migration Assistant homepage.

  2. Choose Assess Your Apps.

  3. In the Assess your app's window, mark Scaffolding as Needed in Cloud.

  4. Complete the assessment.

  5. When prompted, agree with the app data migration policy.
