Step 1 - Prepare for the Scaffolding data migration

To prepare your apps:

  • Update your Scaffolding Data Center app to version 8.30.0 or later for Confluence 7 or 8 or version 9.1.0 or later for Confluence 9. We recommend updating to the latest version.

  • Install or update the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant app to the current latest version.

  • Optionally, enable logs for the Scaffolding data migration.

  • Optionally, create a staging Confluence Data Center instance.

  • Create your Confluence Cloud site and install the Scaffolding Cloud app.

  • Schedule the migration window.

To prepare your Scaffolding data:

  • Clean up your content from non-migratable macros.

  • Unnest the migratable macros.

  • Unrestrict the pages with Scaffolding macros.

  • Rework live templates that are based on Scaffolding templates.

  • Remove hidden content.

Step 2 - Migrate your Scaffolding data

During this part of the workflow, you:

  • Configure the migration tool for the migration.

  • Run Confluence and Scaffolding pre-migration checks, and fix reported issues.

  • Perform the Confluence and Scaffolding data migration.

Step 3 - Convert your Scaffolding macros

During the final part of the workflow, you convert your Scaffolding Data Center macros to Scaffolding Cloud macros. You can:

  • Perform a bulk conversion of all Scaffolding macro within a space.
