Date Field
Description
Date Field is the new name for the Field group macro's field named “Date”. For more information on all field group macro's field name changes, read Field Group macro.
Allows editing of dates with a date picker pop-up menu, or via keying in directly into the date field.

You can also key in your own field name, which can be useful when integrating Scaffolding with other apps such as Reporting for Confluence. The field name is mandatory, and must be unique. | |
Helper Text | Optional | Gives context or additional information about a field input
The helper text will only appear when you edit the content, not when viewing it. | |
Required | Optional | Unchecked | If checked, the user must select a date (mandatory) and this field cannot be empty. |

Required option considerations
If you enable the Required option, you will not be able to Save Changes in the editor mode until you have selected a date.
An example error message is shown below. Alternatively, you can click Cancel to discard the changes.
