Rename configuration elements

You can easily and safely rename configuration elements in Power Admin for Jira. When you hover over the name of a configuration element, you see a pencil icon indicating that the name is editable.

After you click on the name of a configuration element, you are ready to change the name inline.

Duplicate names are not allowed

Duplicate names are not allowed for configuration elements of the same type. If you accidentally type a duplicate name, you will see a warning message inline and will have to try a new name.

Renaming is not allowed for apps, filters, and workflows

Apps, filters, and workflows can't be renamed. When you hover over their name, the field remains read-only.

Rename custom fields

You can rename custom fields the same way you rename other configuration elements in Power Admin with some specifics.
