Editing Information in the Info Module
Owner:
Click on the current owner.
Select a new owner from the list, or start typing their name. After selecting the new person, the owner changes immediately.
Period:
Click the pencil icon.
Choose a new period from the list or create one using the + Create new period… option.
After choosing a new period, decide if you want to move all sub-items to the new period as well:
Start Date and Due Date:
Click the currently set date. A date picker opens.
Select a new date and confirm with the check icon.
If the chosen date doesn’t match the current period, you must create a new one. Changing the dates doesn’t update the period dates.
Higher-Level Objective:
Click the pencil icon.
Select a new objective from the list and confirm the action in the upcoming window. After confirming, the structure will be changed.
Editing the Description:
Hover over the description area and click on the grey background.
Edit the text using the text-formatting tools.
Confirm the change by pressing Enter or clicking the check icon.
Current value and status
You can set a new current value and a status by updating the KR and a new status by updating the objective. The current value of the objective is calculated based on the progress of all sub-items, so you can’t edit it.
Read the articles below to better understand updating an OKR.
Editing KR Start Value and Desired Value
To update the start and desired values of a KR (which you set when creating it), open the key result you want to edit.
Click the pencil icon on the progress chart.
Modify the values in the window and click Save.
Start value – The value with which you start at the beginning of the period. If you start a new project, it will most likely be a 0. For instance, if you plan to reduce the number of bugs in your system from X to Y, then X will be the start value.
Desired value – The value you plan to achieve in the OKR period. If you have a binary goal (to do or to learn something), then the desired value would be either 1 or 100.
Editing Updates on the KR page and objective page
To edit an update, click the three-dots menu on the update’s card.
Click Edit.
Change any data (except the date) and click Save.
