Customize heading numbers for your legal documents

Scenario

Customize and apply the heading number to the legal document using Numbered Headings.

Steps

The following steps demonstrate how to apply the heading number to the document created using Numbered Headings:

Step 1

Select Number Headings

  1. Navigate to the legal document where you want to add the heading number.

  2. Click . The Page numbering options are displayed.

  3. Enable Numbered Headings.

 


Step 2

Customize the heading

  1. Choose Custom as the numbering format from the Number format drop-down menu. A Custom format tab is displayed.

  2. Click icon. The available custom format options and examples are displayed.

  3. Go to the Custom format tab and specify the heading format for each of the headings according to your choice. In this example, we choose decimal and upper latin for h2 and h3.

 

 


Step 3

Preview and publish the page

  1. Check the Show own headings check box. You can view the preview of the headings.

  2. Click Save.

A warning message is displayed, and once the heading number is added an information message is displayed.

Then, refresh the page, the heading number is displayed.
