MultiExcerpt macros - Cloud
To create the MultiExcerpt macro perform the following steps:
Create a new page or go to Edit the page where you want to create MultiExcerpt content.
Type / or click the + icon and type MultiExcerpt.
Select MultiExcerpt macro and click Insert. The MultiExcerpt window displays.
Enter the details in the window
Name: Specify a name for your MultiExcerpt content.
Fallback permission handling: When viewing a MultiExcerpt Include macro in JSM, some users may not be able to see the included content due to a bug or permission issue. Specifically, if a user is not in your JSM's basic profile, Confluence may not recognize them properly and deny them access.
This setting ensures that if the system can't find a user, it will let a special system user (called an "app user") access the content instead. This allows the MultiExcerpt Include macro to still work.
Hidden: This option allows you to hide the MultiExcerpt content on a published page.
Add the content to be reused. You can insert text, images, Informational boxes, Flow Boards, Jira issues, and more.
Click Publish.
Note
MultiExcerpt Fast Excerpt (Inline) and MultiExcerpt Fast Excerpt (Block) are special case macros. These macros are solutions to rendering issues in Confluence Cloud. See Overview - Cloud | Difference between MultiExcerpt and MultiExcerptFast for details.
The process to create these macros is the same as the MultiExcerpt macro.
Add the respective include macros MultiExcerpt Fast Include (Inline) and MultiExcerpt Fast Include (Block) to reuse the content.
