Installing or Re-installing on Jira Cloud

Install the app

To install the app, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Jira Cloud instance as an administrator.

  2. Click the Settings icon  in the upper right corner and select Apps.

  3. Search for ‘JMWE’ and select Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (JMWE).

  4. Click Try it free.

  5. Click Accept & Install to confirm the app installation.

  6. The system displays a progress message for the operation.

Click Get Started to go to the Welcome page for the app.

Important

After successfully installing the app, we recommend that you verify your Jira instance configuration to make sure all JMWE features will be able to work properly.

Re-install the app

To uninstall and then re-install the app, follow these steps (don't skip any):

  1. Log in to your Jira Cloud instance as an administrator.

  2. Click the Settings icon  in the upper right corner and select Apps.

  3. Click Manage apps and locate Jira Misc Workflow Extensions.

  4. Click the app to display its details view.

  5. Click Unsubscribe or Stop Trial (depending on your subscription status). 

  6. Click Uninstall.

  7. The system displays a progress message for the operation. Once finished, the app is removed from the Manage apps page.

  8. Click Find new apps and search for ‘JMWE’.

  9. Click the app to display its details view.

  10. Click Subscribe.

  11. Click Accept & Install to confirm the app installation.

  12. The system displays a progress message for the operation. Once finished, the app is reinstalled.

Click on Get Started to go to the Welcome page for the app.

  • Reinstalling the app will not modify your configured workflows. However, while the app is inactive, Jira might start failing transitions that have JMWE post-functions configured, so you want to minimize the time between uninstallation and re-installation of the app.

  • Unsubscribing and then re-subscribing to the app will not impact billing, as long as you unsubscribe and then re-subscribe on the same day.

During the trial

After installing/enabling the add-on, your 30-day trial period begins.

If you terminate the trial within the 30-day period, you can re-subscribe to it within the original trial period. You cannot restart the trial beyond the original trial period; at that point, you will only be able to subscribe.

If you do not terminate the trial within the 30-day period, a subscription for the add-on begins, and your billing cycle starts. Canceling the add-on takes effect immediately, and you will not be refunded. If you'd like to completely remove the add-on, disable it. See Uninstalling or Disabling the Add-On for more information.
