Readers for a read confirmation
Overview
Readers are users
- who have been assigned to undertake a read confirmationĀ
- who have undertaken a read confirmation
Once a user is assigned as a reader, the overall read confirmation status is only CONFIRMEDĀ when all assigned readers have confirmed the content.
Assigned readers
Page editors can use the read confirmation popup to assign one or more users as a reader for a read confirmation added to a page or blog post.
Search for a user and choose the + symbol to add as a reader
The user is added to the popup as an assigned reader.Ā Assigned users are identified by a tickĀ X iconĀ in theĀ AssignedĀ column.
The popup will display an option to Confirm when the reader views the content.
Additional users can be assigned as readers users and can still confirm the read confirmation but the overall status of the read confirmation status will remain PENDING or PARTIALĀ until all the assigned readers have confirmed the read confirmation.
The current read confirmation status for each reader is displayed in the read confirmation popup
If the content is edited
- the macro read confirmation will notify all assigned readers (both readers who have confirmed and readers who have not confirmed) that a new read confirmation request is required
- the simple read confirmation will need to requested by assigning at least one reader for the new version. No readers are retained but details of the last read confirmation undertaken by each reader are retained in the read confirmation popup.
