Overview

The read confirmation popup allows you to keep track of the progress of a read confirmation.

The read confirmation popup allows you to

  • view the read confirmation status for each reader 

  • add and remove assigned readers

  • confirm an outstanding read confirmation for you as the current user

  • view the current overall status lozenge (if a user has been assigned as a reader)

A Confirm button will be available If the current user has not confirmed the read confirmation.

The contents of the read confirmation popup will change to reflect the current state of a read confirmation.

Accessing the read confirmation popup

If a read confirmation has been added choose the read confirmation byline on the page

This byline will change to reflect the overall read confirmation status (Pending, Partial, Confirmed) if a user has been assigned as a reader.

If a read confirmation has NOT been added choose the page tools menu and select Read Confirmations

You will also need to use the page tools menu option If all the assigned reviewers were previously removed.

Assigned readers and unassigned readers

The readers listed will be

  • any user assigned as a reader to the read confirmation

  • any user who has previously confirmed reading the content for a previous version but is not currently assigned as a reader

Assigned users will be identified by an X symbol in the Assigned column.

Read confirmation status for each user

Readers who have confirmed the read confirmation will be listed with

  • a green tick icon

  • the content version for the confirmed read confirmation

  • the period elapsed since the user confirmed read confirmation

Assigned readers who have not confirmed the read confirmation will be listed but with no details.

If a new read confirmation has been added, all previous readers who had previously confirmed will be listed with an orange circle tick icon and details of their last confirmed read confirmation (version and time elapsed).

Any user whose last read confirmation is listed will need to be assigned to the new read confirmation. They are not automatically re-assigned.

Overall read confirmation status

If the read confirmation has at least one assigned reader the overall read confirmation status lozenge (Pending, Partial or Confirmed) is displayed.

  • the status lozenge for the overall read confirmation is added to the read confirmation popup

  • the read confirmation byline breadcrumb displays the current status on the content

If no readers have been assigned a simple Read Confirmation byline is displayed in the page subtitle.

This will occur if previous readers have been removed either individually or all together using the Clear list option in the read confirmation popup.

Until a reader is assigned or a user confirms the read request no overall status lozenge is displayed in the popup or in the read confirmation bar on the content.
