Publishing a space
Overview
A space administrator can publish all the pages in a source space using the Space publishing option in the space publishing dashboard.
The Space publishing option is only displayed when a target space has been configured and publishing has been enabled.
Comala Publishing does not publish the space home page, blog posts, and archived pages.
If the whole space has already been published in a space publishing action, details of the last publication are displayed beneath the Publish space button.
The space publishing report for the last publication of the whole space can be viewed using the See details link.
To publish a page, the publishing user must have view and edit permissions in both the source and target spaces. When a space is initially set up for publishing, the Comala Publishing app add-on user’s permissions in the target space are used by default, so the Confluence user publishing and syncing does not need edit permission in the target space.
No pages to publish
There must be at least one page to publish and out of sync to use the Publish space option button.
If all the pages are published and in sync, or there are no pages in the space, choosing to publish the whole space using the Publish space buttons displays a dialog box stating There are no pages to publish.
This message is displayed when the space publishing report lists one or more pages as not being published and synced when the last publication of the whole space occurred. The pages listed can have been subsequently published using single-page publishing after the whole space publication.
When the space administrator publishing the space is not included in page-level restrictions on a page in the source space or the target, the page might not be published or included in the space publish action.
Publish only pages in the final state of an applied Comala workflow
Space publishing can be filtered to only publish pages in the final state of an applied Comala workflow. This option can be enabled in the source space publishing dashboard.
Pages published are in the final state of the workflow and are out of sync.
Pages not in the final state of the workflow are ignored for publishing.
