Using an e-signature for reviewer authentication
Overview
The approval in the In Approval state in the Quality Management System workflow is configured to require reviewer identity authentication.
A credentials prompt for the assigned reviewer is added to the workflow popup for the approval.
The method of authentication used is configured globally as either:
Confluence username and password method of authentication
Confluence username and a time-based signing token
Confluence username and password
Entering the username and token activates the Approve and Reject decision buttons.
The credentials are validated when the reviewer makes their approval decision.
Signing token
The signing token is a time-based one-time password generated by an authentication app.
Each reviewer needs to have set up an authentication app for the instance to generate the signing token for each review.
